Why use a cake ring cutter?

A metal cake cutter ring is a handy tool for cutting perfectly neat, even cake rounds from larger slabs of sponge or sheet cake. Simply press the ring through the baked cake to create consistent layers, ready for stacking, filling and decorating.

Its especially useful when making layer cakes, mini cakes and individual desserts, allowing you to bake one large slab and cut out exactly the sizes you need. The sharp metal edge gives a cleaner, more professional finish than cutting circles freehand with a knife, while helping ensure every layer is the same size and shape.
